M O R N I N G P R A Y E R

I thank You, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, Your dear Son, that You have kept me this night from all harm and danger; and I pray that You would keep me this day also from sin and every evil, that all my doings and life may please You. For into Your hands I commend myself, my body and soul, and all things. Let Your holy angel be with me, that the evil foe may have no power over me. Amen.

About Us

  • Trinity is a church that shares the love of God by preaching His Word truthfully, confidently, and lovingly. We are all sinners and need the forgiveness given to us freely by our Lord Jesus Chirst. We are passionate about sharing this amazing message with those we are blessed to meet. We are a member church of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS).

  • We believe that God has created everything in the universe, that He provides for our daily needs, and that He protects us against all danger and evil. We believe that He does these things only because of His divine goodness and mercy and not because of anything that we have done to earn it. For this we thank, praise, serve, and obey Him.

We believe Jesus is fully God and fully man, born of the virgin Mary, and that he has redeemed and purchased those who believe in Him from all sins, death, and power of the devil by His innocent suffering and death on the cross and through His resurrection. He is Lord and in His Kingdom we are to serve and love Him for all eternity.

We believe the Holy Spirit calls us by the Gospel, gathers us together in worship and community, enlightens our minds to the truth of scripture, and empowers us to live more like Christ each and every day.

We believe that the Bible is the true, inspired, and inerrant Word of God, this includes both the Old Testament and the New Testament.

  • At each service you will have the opportunity to hear the Word of God preached, sing songs of praise and thanksgiving, pray both privately and collectively, and receive the true Body and Blood of our Lord in His Holy Supper each week.

  • Exciting, inviting, and relaxed. Come as you are, dressed however you feel most comfortable, and expect to feel welcomed as our guest. We are truly thankful that God has brought you to us.

  • Your children are important to us and are welcome at our services, In fact, we want all children to worship with their parents. There is a children's message at the 9:30 and 11:30 services. Activity bags are offered for all children. If the kiddos get a little fussy we have a lovely patio with a live feed of the service so you can still hear and see the worship service as you comfort your little one.

  • We take our work very seriously, but we don’t take ourselves so seriously. We are a joyful, friendly, and loving community. There are parts of our worship that are very serious and encourage deep contemplation, while there are times that are much lighter and whimsical. We would love to have you come and experience the truth of God’s Word and His love for all.

Church Rites

  • At Trinity Lutheran Church, we celebrate the sacrament of baptism with joy and reverence. Baptism is a sacred moment where individuals are welcomed into the family of God and marked as His own.

    Learn more here.

  • We believe in Jesus and His Word when He says, “This is My Body” and “This is My Blood given and shed for you for the forgiveness of your sins.” We believe that we receive the true body and blood of Jesus when we eat the bread and drink the wine of the Lord’s Supper. Faith in Christ grabs hold of His promises as He delivers forgiveness and strength.

Jesus also says “Do this in remembrance of me.” When we participate with other believers around the world, throughout time, we are together remembering that He died upon the cross for us. The fact that we believe in His perfect life, suffering and death on the cross, and triumphant rising from the dead makes us One! (I Corinthians 10:16-17)

    Join Us if You:

    • Believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior

    • Believe in the true presence of His body and blood

    • Examine your life, confess your sins and see your need for the forgiveness He offers you in the Lord’s Supper (I Corinthians 11:27-29)

    • Desire to receive the strengthening of your faith to live a new life

  • In May of 2013, at the “Marriage Summit,” the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) affirmed, on the basis of Scripture, that marriage is the lifelong union of one man and one woman. As a member of the LCMS, Trinity Lutheran Church, Temecula, conducts weddings that join one man and one woman who intend to be joined for their mutual lifetime (Genesis 2:2-4; Matthew 19:5-6).

    Our Requirements:

We ask that couples who choose to get married at Trinity Lutheran Church commit to each of the following:

    • Attending worship each Sunday.

    • Completing Pre-Marital Counseling with the Pastor.

    • Praying together about your relationship and marriage.

    • Abstain from sexual relations until the marriage rite has been performed.

  • At Trinity Lutheran, we know how difficult it is to lose a loved one. You are not alone on this journey, we are here to walk along side you. We will work closely with you and your family to plan a service that will give glory to God for the blessing of faith, life, and salvation in Christ Jesus.

We will set up a family meeting with the Pastor to talk about your loved one and plan their service. Many families enjoy personalizing certain aspects of the service to reflect the faith and life of their loved one, things like:

    • Music selection – incorporating favorite hymns or songs.

    • Bible verses – including Bible verses that were cherished by your loved one

Introducing the church staff.

Our church staff is a dedicated team of individuals committed to serving our congregation and community. From our pastors providing spiritual guidance and support to our administrative staff ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities, each member plays a vital role in fostering a welcoming environment for all. Together, we work tirelessly to uphold the mission of our church and strive to make a positive impact in the lives of those we encounter.

  • Pastor Jim Kirkman is Trinity’s deeply-loved, intensely-caring spiritual leader. He shepherds the congregation with warmth, wisdom, and a steady presence—preaching thoughtful, scripture-centered messages, offering pastoral care in times of joy and sorrow, and guiding our church community in faith and service. His approachable manner and genuine compassion make him a trusted counselor and friend to people at every stage of life.

At Trinity Lutheran School, Pastor Jim plays an active, hands-on role. He meets regularly with students, leads Chapel with engaging devotion and prayer, and helps nurture their spiritual growth. His personal interest in each child, combined with a gift for making faith accessible and relevant, strengthens the bond between church and school and fosters a Christ-centered environment where children feel known, loved, and encouraged to grow.

  • Pastor Jim Young serves Trinity Lutheran with steadfast dedication and a compassionate heart. A familiar and comforting presence at every service, he steps in whenever called upon—leading worship, preaching, administering sacraments, and offering pastoral care with wisdom shaped by years of faithful ministry. Beyond the sanctuary, Pastor Jim leads bible study groups, supports families in times of joy and sorrow, and provides calm guidance during transitions. His warmth, experience, and willingness to serve whenever needed make him an indispensable pillar of our congregation, embodying Christ’s love and encouraging the spiritual life of our church family.

  • Peter leads our congregation in meaningful, Spirit-filled music each week. He plans and prepares music for every service, selecting songs that complement the liturgy, reinforce the sermon’s message, and invite congregational participation. With strong musical skills on keyboards, solid vocal leadership, and thoughtful arranging, Peter rehearses and directs our vocalists and instrumentalists to ensure polished, heartfelt worship experiences.

Peter’s role is central to Trinity’s life together: he helps shape worship that engages the heart and mind, fosters spiritual growth, and draws the congregation into deeper praise and fellowship.

  • Robin serves as the heart of pastoral support and practical help for Trinity Lutheran Church. She coordinates care ministries, connects members with resources during times of need, organizes visits and meals for the sick and grieving, and mobilizes volunteers to offer compassion and companionship. Robin develops and oversees events that engage the congregation and create meaningful fellowship opportunities, and she leads and manages our largest annual event — Vacation Bible School. Her work ensures every member feels seen, supported, and strengthened—turning our faith into tangible care when it matters most.

  • Jennifer’s role goes far beyond the title of Office Manager, as she is the warm heart and steady hand at Trinity Lutheran Church And School. With a welcoming smile, keen organizational skills, and a compassionate spirit, Jennifer keeps the daily life of our campus running smoothly while supporting families, staff, and ministry leaders. She helps coordinate events, shepherds communication and scheduling, and anticipates needs before they arise, always doing so with professionalism and genuine care. Whether answering a late‑night email or offering a listening ear, Jennifer models servant leadership and quietly strengthens our community every day.

  • Leanne manages the day-to-day financial operations that keep our ministry running smoothly. Her careful attention to detail, integrity, and timely record-keeping ensure transparency and stewardship of the congregation’s resources. Her work enables pastors, staff, and volunteers to focus on worship, teaching, outreach, and care—knowing the church’s finances are handled responsibly and faithfully.
